Metal Stamping FAQ
What stamping processes can you support?
Stamping routes can include blanking, piercing, bending, forming and progressive stamping. The part geometry, feature sequence and quantity determine the tooling approach.
What materials and thicknesses can you stamp?
Mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass and spring materials can be reviewed. Thickness capability is confirmed against the specified grade, features and die design.
When should I consider progressive tooling?
Progressive tooling is worth evaluating when recurring volume and multiple features justify an integrated strip process. Share annual demand and geometry so tooling cost, feature sequence and material use can be compared.
Can you support prototypes before production tooling?
Prototype or bridge tooling can be evaluated to validate features, material behavior and fit before production tooling. The appropriate route depends on quantity and the required similarity to production parts.
Can you provide first-article and PPAP documentation?
First-article and PPAP documentation can be included when agreed in the project requirements. Specify the reporting scope, submission level and acceptance criteria with the RFQ.
What information is needed to quote a stamped part?
Send the drawing or model, material, thickness, quantity, feature count and tooling expectations. Include finish, critical dimensions and inspection requirements for a complete review.
Have a Stamped Metal Part to Develop?
Send the model or drawing with material, thickness, quantity and production expectations. We will review the tooling route and return a practical quote path.
